I have 3 children and nursed all of them for well over a year. During that time, I was also a full-time working mom. My initial purchase was the Medela Pump in Style (I love the backpack feature). This lasted me through baby #1 for 14 months daily for at least 2 times per day. The same pump also lasted through baby #2 for 12 months of daily pumping at least 2 times per day. We then moved and packed away the breast pump since it was no longer needed. When baby #3 arrived, we couldn't find the one we packed so I purchased a second one and that was the Medela Pump in Style Advance (again, I love the backpack feature). This pump lasted me for 13 months and finally I found the original breast pump and low and behold it still works just as well as the first day I initially purchased it.
