Hi, I just purchased a medela 'pump in style' and also bought eight 5oz medela bottles.
Before using the new stuffs, I sterilized all the medela bottles and breast pump equipment using a sterilizer for 3 minutes.
After sterilizing all of the stuffs, I noticed that the medela bottles have lost its hard texture and it had became bouncy when I tried to squeeze the bottles.
Given this scenario, I would like to verify the following:
1. Other than the medela micro steam bag, is it safe to sterilize the medela bottles, nipples, and breast pump equipment using a sterilizer to sanitize the equipments for every use?
2. Is this normal that the medela bottles have become more bouncy after sterilizing it as compared to its hard plastice texture before sterilizing it?
3. Will the medela bottles, equipments be deformed if I continued to sterilize it?
Note that the heat temperature of the sterilizer is at about 212 F.
