I am currently renting a Medala symphony and I was offered  a Medals Pump in style Model 8P91.   I love the symphony but would like to save money.  What is the difference in  the two pumps and will the Pump in style work as well fro me.  Thank you.  Lisa

My LC says it is one of the better pumps. I use the Medela Pump in style advance and Love it. It is a little larger, comes with bag to carry expressed milk and also most importantly has a button to change from the faster sucking (to get your flow started) to the longer sucking.I found it to be very helpful when my milk supply was running low to constantly change the setting on it from fast to slow to help create more "let downs" Plus if you need to go anywhere it comes in a nice bag so people don't know you are carrying a pump.

The Symphony is the one hospitals use and has the 2-phase expression phase. Pump-In-Style (which I have) doesn't have that. I feel the P-I-S is just fine and doesn't reduce my milk production. P-I-S should work just fine for you, too.
