i dont have the user manual for my breast pump and hence this question. can anyone tell me why the milk gets collected in the yellow valve and then goes to the tube instead of the attached bottle while pumping? am i fixing the parts in the wrong way?

    thanks

What model of breast pump do you have?

With my Pump In Style, I screw on the bottles to the part of the funnel with the yellow piece and rubber valve shield. Then I plug the tubes into the little hole in the other opening with screw threads. When I'm using the funnels to manually pump, I attach the manual pump to those second screw threads.  The milk flows into the bottles through the yellow piece, which is pointed down when I pump.

The ONLY thing I can think of is that your bottle is full, so the milk stays in the yellow part and then gets sucked into the tubing. Well, ... ... or the membrane is STICKING to the yellow part. It can and HSOULD be removed during the cleaning/sterilization process. Hope this helps.
