  • What does this button do?

    Hi to all,

I just bought a  used "Pump in Style Advanced Breastpump" Model #8P91 and I have a question about one of the buttons on the device.  I pretty much figured the pump out without the manual however I don't understand the purpose of the button with a picture of two bottles.  The button is deeply recessed and requires a pencil to reach it.  When I press it the pumping behaves like it's in Expression Mode and when release it goes back to what ever mode it was in.  I checked with the users manual of one of the newer pump models and this button is not a feature so I do not have an explanation of it's purpose.  If someone can help me out with this I'd gladly pay you Tuesday for a Hamburger today.

    I.

The let down button will do just as you said, make the pump go in to the differnt pumping rhythm. when first turned on it will be doing the short quick cycles, when you press the let down button the cycles become longer more drawn out periods of suction. You can find the manual on this site. I forget where exactly but it is here. I have downloaded it before.

Babylove, Thanks a bunch for the reply.  I did find the manual for the latest products but not my model, which I believe is an '06.  I found in the manual that the newer pumps don't have this button.  My pump does have the let down button which you spoke about and the letdown button is described in the manual, but there is no mention to the button I'm speaking of.   This button is place above the Let Down button and is about 1/8" round and recessed from the surface about 3/8".

Could it be a reset button? I don't know, but on a lot of electronics the reset button is difficult to get to and usually requires a pencil or something to reach.
